We believe passionately that training our people will help them succeed. Our own in-house Learning & Development team covers New Starter Training, Sales and Leadership Training, Systems and Process Training.

We also have our Rexel Academy, a corporate university designed as a digital learning platform in e-learning format and made accessible to all our people.

Induction and training

All our new recruits receive a structured, focused induction. This covers Core Skills Training – such as Health & Safety, Product Knowledge, Legislation, and training on our computer systems. This is carried out with the support of the Line Manager to ensure new employees are ‘set-up to succeed’.

Further development training offered includes Sales and Customer Service Training and Management & Leadership Skills, both with support from our online Rexel Academy. Training courses from electrical equipment suppliers can also form part of employees leaning.

Rewards and Benefits

friends-lifeRexel operates a defined contribution pension plan with Friends Life, part of the Aviva Group – the UK’s largest pension provider.

Employees who elect to join must pay a minimum of 3% contribution into their plan and, in return, will receive a matching contribution from the Company. Of course, you can pay more than 3% should you choose to and, if you do, Rexel will match this up to a maximum contribution of 4%.

Membership of the plan also entitles you to valuable life assurance cover of 4 x base salary as standard. Employees can choose to have pension contributions taken on a salary sacrifice basis making this an even more cost effective way of saving for your retirement.

We have a 'holiday purchase’ arrangement where you can buy additional holidays, potentially giving you up to 30 days holiday a year.
